| This book is addictive! I love knitting these blankets, the patterns are straightforward and you get a sense of accomplishment with every square created. The yarns are lovely to work with and the finished products are stunning. I cannot believe that I managed to finish three of these beautiful blankets as I have a rep for bags containing unfinished sweaters, but this method solves that one! |

| This is an amazingly readable book, with clear but not patronising explanations; deals with design basics such as how to measure precisely, and to work out shapings. The section on specification drawing was particularly helpful for me, as was the discussion of choice of yarn for texture and drape, and the guidance on calculating yarn quantities.
Demonstrates all principles and techniques with very clear diagrams and schematics. Has given me (after 35 years of knitting!) the confidence finally to design a garment myself. Thanks and well-done, Debbie!! |

| My first view of this book was a little disappointing compared with it's predecessor. The overly arty photo's make it difficult to imagine what the finished items will actually look like. However having had the benefit of attending one of Debbie's workshops and seen the items "in person", the cost and time is definitely worth it. As ever, Debbie's instructions are clear and easy to follow; and the blocks in this book can be combined with those from her earlier publication, giving almost limitless opportunities. If you want a portable, quality project - this is a must. |

| Do not let your daughters and their friends see this book - you will be knitting for them non-stop! My daughter bought me this for my birthday and it came beautifully wrapped but with post-it notes in nearly every page saying which order she wants the item knitted in. There are lovely projects for young people, but also some I want to knit for myself when my daughter isn't looking. I see no reason why a grandmother shouldn't have some pretty slouch socks or a gorgeous little bag.........
The nice thing about this, as with all Debbie Abrahams books is that the designs are so logical and easy to follow. |

| Beautiful book with gorgeous colours, I have all of Debbies books and enjoy reading them. Her designs are really intresting and inspiring (If you can get to one of her classes they are well worth it too). The techniques used are well explained and easy to pick up. There are a wide variety of designs so there is something to suit everyone taste |

| As a beginner knitter (and not a very patient one) I was looking for a book that would allow me to learn new techniques and create pleasing things as quickly as possible. I also had quite a stash of different yarns that I was keen to use up and thought that a patchwork book would be a good place to start. This book was just that. There is a good variety of patterns with loads of ideas for creating blankets and throws out of the hundreds of squares shown. The instructions are clear and there is a small section at the back which explains how to make the basic knitting stitches and a few decorative border patterns.
