| This book is an excellent introduction to NLP and presents all the core concepts in an accurate way. NLP is a very wide-ranging theory but this author has managed to introduce the core framework very cogently. Perhaps there could have been more diagrams and illustrations, and perhaps a little less jargon too - but as NLP has so much of its own terminology it's difficult to see how this could be avoided. I would have liked to read a little more about time perception too, after reading Steve Taylor's excellent book Making Time, which looks at why time seems to speed up and slow down (and even completely disappear) in different situations.

| A must have for all small holders.Not a full complete guide but nonetheless full of great info and knowledge. A book i reread and reread from one season to the next. |

| A great book full of knowledge. Similiar to his complete book of self-sufficiency but goes into veg growing etc in plenty of detail. This is a complete guide for someone starting and already started with gardening. Something you will have to hand from season to season. |

| What a great book. I've been interested in some time in becoming a bit more self sufficient. This book is easy to read, interesting and full of great, practical advice. I've started making my own bread and there's so many other things that I am going to try. I've recommended this book to a lot of my friends. Excellent stuff. A book for every household! |

It you're interested in any aspect of the application of NLP in a training or teaching context don't even think about looking at anything else until you've read this book. Although the style is, as in Introducing NLP, a little dry, this book reaches the parts that other books don't even mention. Both Joseph O'Connor and John Seymour have years of experience in this field so they tell you what you really need to know. After 5 years reviewing books on NLP I have yet to find one which beats this in its subject area. Buy it. Read it. And enjoy using your newfound skills. |

During a recent business trip, I stopped by an airport store and saw a display of several volumes of the "Essential Managers" series. I purchased this one as well as Andy Bruce and Ken Langdon's Strategic Thinking, read both while en route home and was surprised, frankly, to find each to be remarkably comprehensive within a 69-page narrative. Obviously, the subject of maximizing performance is vast and complicated. No single book could possibly cover everything, nor do Seymour and Shervington make any such claim. What they offer is a focus on fundamentals, as do the volumes which comprise the "Harvard Business Essentials" series.
