| I think Gina Ford really knows what she is talking about and unlike some reviewers I do not find her tone patronising or bossy. I have a two year old boy and am currently expecting twins.
I have only just read this book so did not use the routines for my two year old and as I read through the book I could recognise exactly where I have gone wrong and am determined not to make the same mistakes again. Good sound practical advice is provided throughout. I read this book as it was recommended to me by someone else who had twins, read Ginas "Contented House with Twins" and thought it was a rehash of this book but not as good. | What an incredible true story Ed Macy delivers in "Apache".Detailing the the harsh brutal realities of war in Afganistan and the incredible devotion and bravery our troops display daily.This book is a great read for those not interested in military matters as much as for those that are.Utterly compelling and the "Jugroom Fort" chapters are so engaging you'll not want to put the book down before you finish them.
Absolutely recommended. |

| My 8 year old daughter has had this book for many years along with Room on the Broom, Monkey Puzzle, Gruffalo etc. and I have to say that all of the books are brilliant (even a cynical 41 year old like me enjoys reading them repeatedly....to her of course). They are all cleverly written (in a rhyming style) and beautifully illustrated (with some repeat themes / characters popping up in various books - look out for them). I would strongly recommend buying this or Room on the Broom as an introduction to the world of Donaldson / Scheffler. |

| This huge, sprawling novel has left me breathless. Quite an amazing read. The simple, economical style leads you through this cast of characters with such clarity and such honesty that I was very sorry to finish the book and have to try to finding something to fill its place.
A quite stunning piece of story telling, unlike anything I've read before and a stand out book that, should there be justice, deservedly win the Man Booker. Don't let the the length and the 'literary' label put you off. Give this book a go and let yourself be immersed by a writer who can truly hook you into fiction. |

| The three earlier books in this series are amongst the best fantasy novels I've ever read. Unfortunately, 'The Singing' is not, in my opinion, nearly so good. 'The Riddle', for instance, is a thrilling book from start to finish. It's shocking and visceral - the sort of book that has you anxious for the safety of its characters throughout. The problem, for me, with 'The Singing' is that it has nothing close to that excitement. In fact, it has very little tension, very few if any surprises, and most importantly didn't demand an engagement with its characters from this reader in the way 'The Riddle' demanded you sat up straight and paid attention.

| As a med student..i found that this book covered basically anything i have needed to know in a simple..easy to understand fashion.
Everyone i have spoken to has a copy of this book..and uses it on at least a weekly basis. The book covers material from the very basics to the complex..and managed to acheive this without being patronising or condescending..all in all a great book |

| Another great book by JW, I got this the day it came out, and read it in two days. Very addicting and quite sad at times! Although some of the chracters seem like some in other books, I noticed there were some spelling mistakes too, but otherwise, good book and worth the read. |
