| This book is perfect for anyone intrested or studying Arboriculture.
As one of my form lectures at UCLAN Newtown Rigg Campus. He's book, is just like hes' lectures, full of usfull and intrestring infomation, that is easy to understand, even to people with little or no knowledge of trees. I totally rate this book. Well done an thanx to Bob for realising hes knowledge in to book form for everyone to read. |

| This book is short (83 pages long in all) and is mostly taken up with an alphabetical listing of wood types with a short description and a list of what they have been and are used for. This list is exactly the same as the one on the website www.british-trees.com so check this out first to see if you think the book is worth buying.
There are also 6 (large text) pages on the author's woodland thoughts and 10 pages on making fires. I would have liked these two sections to have been longer as the author is obviously very knowledgable and has a lots of "wood experience" but only shares a small fraction of his knowledge. There are a few small black and white pictures scattered throughout the book. |

| Having sat down to feast on three treehouse books I had just begged, borrowed or stolen, this one was clearly the best all-rounder. It is packed full of beautiful, inspirational ideas and some good advice too. It isn't a 'how-to-build-a-treehouse' book, but it's worth getting to pick up some ideas. |
