| Although this book has a lot of 5 star reviews I feel that it is slightly lacking for the modern gardener. This book did not tell me everything I wanted to know such as what to do with crops at the end of the season, and has no photographs, only sketches. Whilst a good book, I feel there are better available! |

| This book has been really helpful in getting us started and motivated. Lots of practical and sensible advice for a busy first time allotment family. |

| These are delightful patterns. I really like the way the patterns are presented but have a criticism: There is no explanation on how to start (you have to crochet into the slip knot and pull it tight but ther is no explanation how to do this) and the first pattern I followed (small teddy bear) had a mistake in it. For an experienced crocheter no problem but for a novice of the crat offputting - which is a shame because the results are just adorable. I hope they iron out the mistakes in the next edition! |

| Most of gardens of the world can be put into two major categories: formal gardens and naturalistic gardens. | This is a very useful book, with clear and precise information about the species it covers.
My only 'but' is that it is heavily biased towards alcaline gardening, while there are many places in the Mediterranean that are quite acid. I would like the book to be larger, to have more photos and, especially, to cover more trees: given enough water (and the right way) the number of species one can cultivate in summer-dry regions is quite surprising. The photos are very good, but they do not cover every species, and there are several ideas that may be useful for gardeners and even architects. Overall a good buy. |

| This is a lovely little story. I find it quite uplifting reading about the children developing their personallites and becoming quite different people. I have always loved this story, and also the film. Would recomend as a classic, a childrens story and for adults reading! |

| I've heard about this book at the GARDEN BLOGGER'S BOOK CLUB.
This is a collection of letters between two english gardener friends, Beth Chatto and Christopher Lloyd in a period of two years (1996-97). I loved the book. Didn't know any of the authors, their gardens or their written work. I loved to 'meet' them in this book. I was sorry to know that Christopher Lloyd passed away a few years ago but I would love to visit his garden, still open to public. From the two authors, Christo looked the most fascinating character. It's a very british book. Funny and entertaining. Definetly to gardening lovers.
