| The first books were quite derivative, which you might expect from a young author, but were still enjoyable romps. This third book (was this not intended as a trilogy?) rambles along with no plot momentum to speak of. It is also clear that the research behind the book is sloppy with very limited imagination - as witnessed by the Nasuada whose competition for leadership of the tribes is laughable.
It might be that I am too old for the book. However, I don't think I would ever have been tolerant of the continual conversations explaining the workings of this fantasy world, even as a kid. If you liked the Star Wars prequels, maybe you'd like this. I don't. |

| J'Adore Nigella, but if you have watched any over her christmas specials over the last two years, downloaded the recipies from the BBC website, or even purchased 'Feast' in the past, then chances are you will be familar with most of the recipies in this book.
Yes she has tweeked a few, modified a few intros and added a few recipies, but none the less a recap of her holiday ideas from the last 3+ years. This is the book i was scammering for 2 years ago when Nigella's Christmas first aired on the BBC. But all my moaning aside, it's the perfect book to get geared up for a hearty christmas. |

Dawn is a genuine national treasure - warm , cuddly and a comic genius - but sensitive, intelligent and utterly humble - not words that can be uttered about many of todays plastic, one minute wonders.... My only criticism is that chapter 12 made me laugh so much I nearly peed myself on the train. Well done Dawn! |

| Fantastic book - and I can't wait for the continuation..this is just the first part you see.
Brilliant, exceptionally funny - you will laugh out loud at many of the anecdotes. Very honest, achingly so at times. Get it! |

| The is a very well written memoir this tells you so much about Parky himself through his passions, view of the world and recollections of some amazing meetings / interviews. A Biography that is well worth reading ( and for that see also Entirely Up to You, Darling) |

| The book starts well although it reads a bit like a hagiography written by Arthur Hailey. That is ok by me I like Arthur Hailey and have always regarded Buffett as a saint. I laughed out loud several times during the first 50 pages.
After this it gets a bit heavier going. There are many insights and many surprises. I had not realised that Berkshire Hathaway lost money from the start and wound up having the textile mill shut down. I had not reliased that Buffett was first a director of Salomon brothers and then became chairman appointed to clean up the mess which he seems to have done with great honour distinction and dignity. | i have read this book based on a firend's recommendation, i had to force myself to go on after just 5 pages, the author's writing is abosolutely horrible, i don't trhink he has any experience with children, the dialogue Bruno had sounds so much like grown-ups, therefore totally unlovable. the author also seemed to fall in love with some stupid descriptions. Eg, Bruno's eyes opendend wide and his mouth made the shape of an O. it sounded stupid, it's forgiveable to use it once but he used it three times in the first 30 pages, then reclutant to let go he use it again on Bruno's sister. other phrase Mr Boyne fall in love with was "As if", he use this "as if" many, many times i have lost counts. the writing was dry and lifeless, without love or passion, it was populated ...
