| I don't own this book but recently bought a copy for my brother, and would like to get one myself. What struck me when browsing this book, and what impelled me to buy it, was the plethora of excellent, good-sized colour photos to enable the precise identification of every pest and disease. Unfortunately many books on this subject provide instead only line drawings, which don't do the trick in the same way as a good photo.
But this book is not just full of photos - there's plenty of detailed written info too on each problem and which plants it affects, and no doubt (since it's an RHS book and involved Pippa Greenwood) of good quality too, but I didn't have a chance to read through it and assess it. | This book contains all the necessary information to make successful diagnoses for a wide range of plant problems. Useful and useable for the amateur and professional alike, containing colour photos, detailed information on pests and diseases and lists of the most frequent and likely problems for a wide range of plants. Also, this book is so much more affordable the the majority of plant pathology books which are aimed at a very specialist market and often deal with only insect pests or diseases. It even contains information on badgers and deer. |

| Any book on pests is not something which you want to spend very long reading, so I was delighted when i found this little book which gives me all the info I need about how to deal with pests (organically) that are having a good munch on the plants and vegetables in my garden. As well as telling you all about the bad insects, it also tells you about the good insects that will help act as a deterent. The price is also refreshingly good. They only cost £2.99! Frankly, if I'm not going to spend much time reading it, I certainly don't want to be paying lots for it! |

| This is a great little book. The main thing being that it is a little book, intended for taking into the field and stuffing in your pocket. It covers the most common weeds you're likely to find, with excellent pictures from early germination to more mature seedling/plant. It also has clear diagrams of the main features to look out for and the usual basic information on the plants themselves. It has handy summaries of the cotyledon and seedling photos for quick reference and is very easy to use. The only thing is that it's lacking a few more species as i dont think its extensive enough. Its a great starting point but it is likely that more information is liekly to be needed for extensive identification. Read More |

| This book gives alot of information on garden pest & diseases but not how to treat them. Have viewed other rhs books with alot more information that this one gives you on how to treat and cure without using sprays. |
