| This modern attempt at adapting this classic book into film is not a good one. When compared to other classic book-to-film adaptations of classic fanatasy (ie. Lord of the Rings and Stardust) this falls well short of standard set by previous fantasy movies. In contrast, Narnia appears cheap with inferior acting, poor casting, bad direction, cheap looking sets and generally poorly produced.
Narnia is not a terrible movie and you'll find your children enjoying it ..... but unlike other fantasy films like stardust and LOTR ,this isnt really enjoyable for adults. This film seems like a knee-jerk reaction to the success of 'the Lord of the Rings' trilogy, but sadly falls well short of the high standard set by Peter Jackson's adaptation ... Read More |

| You don't need to know the story... I'm sure you're aware it's about a fish and his dad. 'Nuff said!
This review is for the parents. My three year old son is pretty hardy but over the year or more he has been watching it I have found myself exercising various levels of censorship. On the whole it's fine but be warned Nemo's mum does get killed, there are murderous sharks, exploding war time mines and spooky deep sea beasts with large teeth! You have been warned :) I still love those darned turtles though..... |

| As a big Harry Potter fan I was quite dissapointed with this film. Many of the changes made from the books were unnessacery and dumbed down, I have to say the best thing in the film was Evvanna Lynch's portrayal of Luna, I loved the scene in the forest with just her and Harry. |

| this kept the kids amused for a while, but ultimately was a cookie cutter family movie and once was more than enough for all of us. |

| Went to see this at the cinema as it was the only film playing and I have never felt so cheated for four quid. It is quite possibly the worst film ever made and it annoys me so much that millions are spent on these types of films when half of the budget for this load of hogwash could have made something brilliant like Little Miss Sunshine or Juno.
The main actor tries to hold the film together but is let down by a terrible cast and the thousands of tacky, unoriginal effects that are thrown in, not to mention the poor script that has been written. I maybe criticised for being older than the recommended age this is aimed at but if you're a parent thinking of buying this for your child save yourself the money and buy him or her an awesome kids film like Disney Pixar's ... Cars has been out for a while now and it has accrued some critical baggage with many reviews saying that this is the moment when Pixar jumps the shark. The company's 7th film is the first directed by guiding light and Toy Story creator Lassetter since Toy Story 2 and it is, almost unquestionably, their worst film. However this is Pixar, their worst is better than a lot of people's best. The story is simple. Racecar Lightning McQueen (Owen Wilson) falls from the truck transporting him across country to his big race and ends up in a backwater town called radiator springs. | Being one of my favourite Disney animated movies, I just couldn't resist buying it, and the restoration of colour is perfect! It is a brilliantly original movie, where Cruella De Vil attempyts to kidnap 99 dalmatian puppies, to turn into a fur coat. Along with the help of the dogs of London town and their animal friends, Pongo and Perdita save their 15 puppies and bring them home safely. It is truly one of the best Disney movies! While all modern Disney movies are in connection with Pixar animation or are live-action, it is always nice to keep the classics. Buy it now and don't be dissappointed. We never know when these movies will be put back in the vaults and brought out again.

| This film has to be one of if not THE best Disney film there is. The story is great, the voices perfect, the songs brilliant! My favourite song from Aladdin is probably Friend Like Me but that's because I love Genie. However, all the songs are great in this film, there's none that you roll your eyes to because Disney have that great way of including a lovely slowie into a film but still having the humour there (like with A Whole New World).
Loved this film when I was little and chuffed now that my littl'un loves it too. Great fun for family viewing and still funny for adults! |
