| Initially I found myself not liking `Alex', pre-judging him as spoilt, profligate & immature. However his sister's narrative which spanned the two years leading up to `the bus', progressively showed us he was an impressive individual. He wasn't spoilt, he was angry with the people who let him down! If he was profligate, it was materially not spiritually. He wasn't immature, he was resourceful & intelligent.
It became easier to identify with him when I saw parts of his character as a reflection, empathising with his anger & connecting with his love of Tolstoy. | I found I could watch one episode after another of One Tree Hill but that I couldn't remember much about any particular episode.This sums it up:
interesting and entertaining to watch but unable to tug at your heartstrings and leave any lasting damage.I bought the box set because other people had given the programme rave reviews and said older people as well as teenagers would love the series but as one of those older people ( I'm in my forties) I have to say this isn't the case.The OC was a much better teen drama for non-teenagers and so,if like me you're getting on a bit in years, then buy a boxset of the OC instead.One Tree Hill relies on rapidly changing relations between people and on quick-fire storylines.In the OC the relationships between ... | I am genuinely stunned by this package; to get this whole box set with 6 discs of extras for under twenty quid is just amazing. I've watched all the extra discs and they're a real insight to the making of the trilogy. Peter Jackson and his team have gone to great effort to create a special edition of LotR for DVD, not just the original release with the cuts put back in.
Be warned though, that there are spoilers in the extra discs so don't watch them first if you don't want to know what happens; they've added a whole lot more that they had to leave out of the original cinematic release. Of course, the Blu-Ray version will be even better, but apparently it's not due anytime soon. So get this fantastic bargain now! |

| After the fist movie was so great and terue to the book i was hoping this one would be the same, some of the plot was rearraged and changed slightly but overall i really enjoyed, and may even have liked it more than the first, great work. cant wait for the third movie. |

| This is a film designed to entertain, the characters are 2 dimensional and unsympathetic, don't interact well and serve only to move the story from one scene to another. That said, it is enjoyable enough and didn't make me want to gouge my eyes out. If you want an unplanned pregnancy flick with depth and heart buy Juno. If you just want to laugh, buy this.

| Sequels can get very self-absorbed but this one is chiefly notable for its excessive length, one begins to lose the will to listen after 40 minutes (so the plot appears unclear) and after an hour one hopes the heroes will be wiped out to allow us all to escape. I gave up in the end. Surely it could have been punchier than this? |

| Is this better than Amazing Earth? Definitely: the story narrated in a scientific supported way, better graphics, excellent images. A recommendation for anyone interested in earth,s history in spite of too much of Dr. Stewarts presence . |

| So many comic book films are created with the studios forcing it into a lower certificate by cutting various scenes out. This was shown clearly with the Daredevil Directors Cut being so much darker than the original that it was an entirely new film!
Thankfully this movie did not suffer from that fate. Clearly the director has been given a free reign on the movie and as such he has created an authentic Iron Man, and I am pleased that Robert Downey Jr has nailed the character so well. The comedy is refreshing and the action is superb but the story is also excellent, something that every good movie needs. Oh, and watch the scene after the credits.....interesting! |
