| The product itself seems to be of good quality and for the money is a good buy, if you have older iPod models. Hence the 3 stars.
But beware if you have a 2G Touch this does not have full functionality. In fact all you can do with it is play music through your hifi. It does not have video compatibility which is no biggy but the main problem is that it can no longer charge your iPod. Apple have changed the build in the 2G Touch and therefor all that happens is that you get an error message when you place your Touch in the dock stating that this product cannot be charged! Which is a shame. But if you have previous models I would recommend it. |

| I chose this adapter over its DVI brother as I wasn't sure if my external monitor supported DVI-D. The large end of the cable plugs into the VGA cable coming from your monitor - it's essentially an extension cable. Once connected the Mac recognises it straight away. Uncheck 'mirror image' and drag the open windows onto the external monitor for best performance. You can also choose where you want the menu bar and dock, either on Mac display or external monitor, regardless of where you have your open windows. All in all a great product. |

| The cables are correctly branded and work perfectly with my iPhone 3G. At 2/5ths of the Apple price and free postage getting you'd be a fool getting one from anywhere else.
It's probably worth noting that these are the older type of Apple cables with the locking pins and two buttons to release the cable (The latest version has dispensed with the locking pins and has no release buttons). |

| I have two of these devices, one to act as a wireless print server and one to stream music from my mac upstairs to my hifi downstairs. As others have commented, the set up is not as straightforward as you might expect from Apple. Nevertheless I would say that the Airport Express is much easier to set up as a wireless print server than any other device I have tried. I have also found that initial set up is straightforward if you connect the the device in a "wired" fashion to your router via a Cat 5 cable. After set up I was able to connect in a wireless fashion with no problem. | Ok so had windows 98. had windows xp..had to reinstall windows on another drive after about 4 years after we lost all the sound for some reason and microsoft won't let me re use the licence so used a pirate copy worked ok for a while. even booted up in less than 5 minutes.got 3 printers 1 panasonic laser 2 epson colour inkjets (quite old) . setting up routers re installing software printers scanners usb midi keyboards web cams done my head in more than once I can tell you so I bought one of these and how have i got on in the first 3 months?

| This is not the best product Apple have introduced as it is still not the easiest to use as most Apple products tend to be. The networking and syncing issues seem to be common problems with most Apple TV users, the most common error is the Apple TV not being seen by iTunes. After several calls to the Apple help line I finally managed to work out all the firewall, security and networking issues that make setting this up a nightmare. The online troubleshooting does not give enough detail on what settings to change to overcome these issues. The syncing also takes ages, to sync around 2000 photos can take 5 hours and when downloading a movie, do it the day before because it takes so long.
