| This book is proof that good things come in small packages - it was lying unused on a shelf for a long time before I picked it up and decided to make something from it and since then the book has become grubby and stained due to the number of times I've used it. Someone else has already pointed out it is great value for money and I definitely agree on this.
A perfect book for when you need something quick to make after a long day at work! It's full of easy, uncomplicated recipes. |

| Almost every slow cooker recipe I've ever made has been tomato-based. Recipe books are full of slow-cook meat recipes and stews, but I was bored already, after just a few months of owning my slow cooker.
So I had high hopes for this recipe book and I have to say it has exceeded my expectations. Firstly, the recipes actually are vegetarian (many of them are vegan). I say this because other slow cooker recipe books have "vegetarian" sections which are packed with meat stock, chicken soup, fish sauce and bacon in the ingredients! | My Mother in Law gave me this book for christmas as I was interested in the slimming world diet. What a fantastic book, just as it says 30 minute meals that are easy to to cook and taste delicious. As yet nothing has failed us, infact we have even tried recipes that we would not normally try. I have shown this to a few friends and thay love it and have also ordered it. |

| I love this little book and its small enough to carry around (why do cookbooks have to be so big). An ideal book for a vegan beginner or those of love western style comfort foods (which I do!).
"In the Kitch" shows that you can have your vegan cake and eat it with recipes such as Cheezy Cream of Broccoli Soup, Potato and Pumpkin Curry, Stuffed Shells with Red or White Sauce, Dream Bars, Fresh Fruit Crumble, and Hot Fudge Brownie Sundaes There are more international recipes too such as Pad Thai and Japanese Soba Noodles with Steamed Vegetables and Tofu. No pictures but some funny ass girl talk between sections which I loved. |

| I was shocked to see that most recipes use Soy Milk/tofu which is proven to be very unhealthy, as soy is only good when it's fermented! Beside that, it also uses a lot of Margarine, which is also proven unhealthy and canola oil. :(

| It's one of my very fav cookbooks. here is why:
1) It doesn't assume any previous cooking knowledge, doesn't use jargon and gives very clear instructions. 2) most of ingredients are easy to get or you may even have them in your cupboards already. 3) includes information on time required to make a given dish, number of servings and how difficult it is to make. 4) recipies are very easy locate in the book. they are grouped into chapters with a "theme", eg. oriental, italian and so on. you can also find vegetarian ways of making our familiar dishes. or even things like pouched eggs or pancakes. 5) it's cheerful and enthusiastic, includes things like hangover juice remedies and nice easy desserts. 6) the layout is clear ... | Just what I was looking for: healthy recipe ideas for packed lunches and light evening meals that don't require too many fancy ingredients or time to put together (the pitta pocket fillers are handy).
I'm not really a dessert person, but the quick, tasty recipes have made me realise I don't have to be baking pastry and doing fiddly toppings for hours. If you love spending time in the kitchen this book is NOT for you! |

| Delia knows her cooking, however, she hasn't researched vegetarianism properly. She is using parmesan. All vegetarians know that parmesan is not vegetarian, so she should mention to use the substitute cheese. It is misleading new vegetarians into thinking parmesan is ok. That's why only 2 stars.
If one reads the recipes carefully and alter it accordingly then there are some very nice new ideas in this book.. |

| I am delighted with this book. Started off with the walnut & raisin cakes - actually dates, almonds, walnuts, raisins. My husband loves them so I make double batches every few days, and it stops him eating choc bars! Cucumber soup for dinner guests was next - absolutely delicious, one I intend to make again and again. Personally I don't think there is anything wrong with the photos or the book itself. All looks fine to me. Thoroughly recommend it. Am looking forward to trying out some more recipes. |
