| I have this Bamix and highly recommend it. In fact, you know people say things like, "oh you get a "blender" and it ends up in a cupboard and you never use it!" Well, with this one, you will use it just about every day if you enjoy cooking. And if it's stored as it's meant to be, on the stand provided, then you WILL use it every day! I DO!
The quality speaks for itself - I am always recommending it to family and friends. I love making cakes and always use it to mix the ingredients together. My cakes are always light and fluffy and the envy of others! | Normally I tend to confine my reviews to items of the literary kind, but as I can't really be bothered with another book review at the moment (and because I bought this grill from Amazon recently) I thought I'd turn my critical eye on the Big George.
This is my first real experience with health grills, and overall I'd have to say I'm quite impressed. The grilling area heats up quickly and is big enough to fit plenty of burgers on, making it a handy backup if you've invited all your friends over for a BBQ but the weather isn't cooperating. The unit feels solid and durable, though the temperature control seems unusually delicate, as if it doesn't really do anything. | Previously I owned a Sharp microwave which served me well for 14 years before giving up the ghost, therefore I decided to stick with the Sharp brand for a replacement. The R259SL is a stylish, compact model and the silver finish would compliment any kitchen style. It is easy to set up - just plug in and go! If you're looking for a conventional microwave for defrosting and reheating or for cooking nothing more complicated than a baked potato, then this is the one for you. It has Auto-cook, Express-cook and Express-Defrost features which are very handy. | I all but gave up buying wine until someone bought me one of these. I became frustrated by tipping half a bottle of good red wine down the sink a day after opening it when it had gone off, or feeling that I had to finish the bottle, and so feel worse for drink the day after. This item has changed all that. I no longer have to think about the waste if I just want a glass or two from a bottle. Simply push in the rubber bung and use the pump to suck all the air out. The wine keeps well for at least a week like this, and so is the perfect gizmo, if like me, you are a one or two glass per night regular wine drinker. | Borrowed this from a friend after the cat took to weeing on the carpet. It has done a good job on cleaning up the mess, and the smell. It does seem to use very little cleaning fluid, even after I managed to connect it properly. However, no matter what I did, it seemed to constantly leak (mainly from the clean water tank but hard to tell) so if I left the machine sat anywhere for long there were big wet patches. Having used it, I'm very tempted to buy my own cleaner as it's done a surprisingly good job and is cheaper than expected, but I might shop around for one that is less dribbly. |

| I make a lot of coffee: I fill this with beans at least twice a day, every day for the past ten years or so, and this little baby is still going strong. Sure, a burr grinder makes it easier to be precise, but after all this time I'm pretty accurate about the grind time. Some other reviewers have had a different experience, but I can testify that it's at least possible for one of these to last over a decade of constant use. |

| I know it's not exactly what it's made for, but when I'm outside of an evening, I always take this out and put it on the table pointing up at the parasol.
It somehow makes the ambience so much nicer having a warm glow, or just on the rotating colours if I have music on. So much better than normal boring lighting |

The Salter 3003 wins hands down over the 1600, because it uses proper push buttons, and weighs ingredients up to 5kg not a mere 3kg. While not quite instant, the 3003 has a good and well-damped response, you don't have to hang about waiting for the reading to stabilise while adding ingredients. It is not cluttered up with silly menu systems or redundant features found on some others we looked at. It is simple and intuitive to use, quick and accurate. What more do you need from a kitchen scale? |
