| There is a golden rule of life which I has been ably demonstrated to me and this is another example where you do in fact get more for paying more. The 255 is the most expensive breadmaker on the market by far. I have had 3 breadmakers before finally splashing out £88 (Amazon) for the Rolls Royce model. It is built better than any other and runs very quiet. So quiet that you could actually set this to come on at 4 in the morning to give you a fresh laof in the morning without it waking you up through the ceiling! The Prima, Morphy Richards and Biffnett models I have tried would have certainly been an unwelcome alarm clock.

| After our 5 yr old top of the range combi Panasonic gave up the ghost we were stuck trying to decide what to go for. We hardly ever used the oven feature therefore a basic microwave seemed the best option. This little number from Panny meets our requirements perfectly with its small compact size and good power levels. Its simple to use and has a useful child lock facility to stop the little uns messing around with it. Its well made and yet another excellent bargain from Amazon at this price. |

| I bought this six months ago and used it very lightly. Last week it just stopped working. So I'm out all that money and am stuck with a big, heavy oven. I can't even throw it in the bin. I have to have someone come and haul it away. Just use your oven and a cheap microwave and don't waste your money. |

| We got our Panasonic microwave about 18 months ago as a replacement for an ancient Panasonic combi that had served us very well. It soon became clear that it was a pale imitation of its predecesor.Its functions were less flexible, we were especially disapointed with the defrost functions, (bread for example didn't defrost as evenly as before).The oven burnt the tops of things such as joints or sponge cakes.It was difficult to keep the inside clean. You may notice that I refer to it in the past tense. 7 months ago it went bang! So I can add only a 13 month life span to my list of complaints. DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT, there are many others on the market, often at a more reasonable price. |

| Bought this based on the Which? report, it was judged the best standalone solo microwave. It is a bit plastic-y, and the first one I received was broken (not encouraging). Credit to Amazon though, they sent a replacement that arrived the next day - well done Amazon! New one great, and so far working as hoped! Would recommend it. |

| Panasonic breadmaker SD254
I recently purchased the Pansonic breadmaker model SD254. Initially the results were great and then as was the case with one of your reviewers the paddle was almost spinning on the spindle. Apart from the obvious bad baking results my concern was that if there was residual material coming from the paddle or spindle, and if so where was it going. I have reported the matter to Panasonic but their response was less then enthusiastic in fact they do not offer any explanation. I would have thought that they would have shown at least some concern as to possible health hazards especially in a food processing application. MBrennan |

| I have just had a Panasonic microwave break TWICE within 15 months. It just stops working (and flips out the fuses in my kitchen when it does so). I won't be buying Panasonic again either. |
