| I'm not from the US, my family hail from Kashmir and I was born in the UK, grew up listening to punk rock but WOW! The soundtrack literally drips with the era and place it hails from; every time I hear a snippet I swear I can feel the heat and smell the wheat - so amazing! |

| I don't really know what proper folk is but this cd is a lot of fun-sent me looking for other stuff the various artists have done. certainly the best thing i've done with £2 for a very long time. Buy it! |

What a wonderful idea of Nomasters and yourself to issue 'our' Imagined Village cd. I say 'our' right away, because the homeliness, the recognition and the heart-warming tunes are sufficient to make the most hardened of man/woman melt away on (soft) impact. As you most surely know (and as much as Barry, Jim and Lester do) there is that poem of Rupert Brooke's that says that, wherever a British soldier might find his final resting-place, there is that secure spot 'that is forever England'. | How refreshing to have a compilation album with a selection of different genre that eases the boredom that develops with most compilation albums. I listened to this album whilst driving and it both relaxed me and kept me awake with its revisiting of various familiar songs and the introduction of ones i've not come across before. A great album! |

| While this CD and the three CD's in the series may containe some very good Guitar song I feel it can not be in anyway a the greatest album of Guitar songs as they e seems to have missed out music from what will have to be two of the Greatist Guitar playes ever - "Jimmy Hendrix" and "David Gilmour"(Pink Floyd) |

| Loved the movie, bought the disc. Unlike some movie sound tracks where you wonder how you thought the soundtrack would keep alive the memory of the movie, this one really does. The quirky and independent music mirrors the film's style and characters, witty, unusual and highly entertaining. How can you not love a disc that includes such lyrics as from Kimya Dawson's 'Loose Lips'; "they think we're disposable, well both my thumbs opposable are spelled out on a double word and triple letter score". Awesome.
