| I have just taken delivery of this lawnmower and what can I say, absolutely fantastic! I have an allotment with a newly seeded lawn in need of its first cut, so I spent a couple of nights on the net, looking at different options. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a lawnmower, what with the recent break-ins to sheds, but wanted something that wasn't going to chew up my hard work. Reading other reviews, I decided this was the best choice, and for 30 quid, delivered it was worth a risk. | I have recently purchased this lawnmower after reading the reviews on Amazon. My last lawnmower was a Flymo which was about 5 years old.
Having just used the Rotak 40 for the first time, i am amazed at how well it has cut my grass compared to the Flymo. This mower seems to cut the grass instead of ripping it like the Flymo. The Rotak also gets much closer to the edges. The only reason I have given this mower a 4 instead of a 5 is that it would have been nice for Bosch to have installed an easy wind in cable assessory rather than having to wrap the cable around the handle bars which Flymo do provide. | After realising that I'd not trimmed the hedge in my back garden for about 3 years, I figured I'd better get it sorted. Shopped around a bit for a hedge cutter and eventually settled on the Bosch.
What a good choice. From taking it out of it's box, to sweeping up the trimmings once I'd finished cutting took less than an hour - and this hedge is about 10m long. It's very light which makes it easier to use. The blades are pretty long which gives you a better reach if you have a tall or deep hedge. The power cord is a decent length. | I bought this to replace a hand-me-down hover mover which finally packed up. I'm very pleased, although perhaps I should have spent the extra money and bought the Rotak 34 (more on this later).
The lawnmower is light, cuts well, and the grass collection is very efficient. It copes very well with the unevenness of the surface. It's much, much easier to push round than my old hover mower, and the balance barely changes as the grass box fills up. On one side of my lawn I have raised beds behind wooden battens. The mower cuts fairly well here, but I wonder whether I should have got the next model up, the Rotak 34, which has the grass combs? Not having tried it, I don't know whether this would be any better. | I don't normally post reviews but after my petrol mower died respectably of extreme old age I had to use a Flymo, or dragmo, which took forever and just left a scruffy mess of the lawn with grass cuttings all over the flower beds and paths. Based on the reviews here I ordered the Bosch on Sunday, it arrived today, and assembled very easily. Straight into the garden with it and I am delighted. It does cut to the edge, it cuts very neatly and is light and easy to handle. It picks up all the grass and just left me disappointed when I ran out of grass to cut! Roll on next week! |

| I had my heart set on a cylinder mower after my black and decker rotary, and petrol rotary had both packed up. Research and reviews however dissuaded me from the popular Qualcast cylinder, and pointed me in the direction of the Bosch Rotak range. I bought one yesterday and, despite having wet grass, mowed both my lawns. The results were really impressive, with the height adjustment easy, the mower being very light and manoevreable, and the collection box doing exactly what its mean to do. My lawns look great, and I am very happy with my purchase. It really pays to do your research, and my thanks go to all previous reviewers for this, and other products. |

It is incredibly light, and as other reviewers have said, it is easy to carry one-handed through the garage to the garden, leaving the other hand free to open doors etc. The collection box is quite small, and on my lawn I have to empty it at least 5 times, but that is a minor point overall. This also gives you an excuse to pause for a sip of cold beer on a hot day! Cable is not very long, but that is easily solved with a decent extension lead. This mower has no rollers for those that want stripes, but seeing as my lawn is also used as a football pitch, cricket field and badminton court this is not an issue.

| I was almost put off purchasing this item by one previous very poor review,but after using the cleaner a couple of day,s ago I can only assume that the cleaner tried by that reviewer was faulty.
Having spent a lifietime in engineering I am familiar with all kinds of commercial equipment so I can write on this with some authority. 1)Easy to assemble. 2)My drive (blocks) had not been cleaned since laying 12 years ago and was black. 3)Switched my K4 pressure washer ans the the result was startling,immediately revealed was the original shades of red block paving,one slow pass was all that was needed,my drive has a gentle slope to a slot drain so little residue was left behind,i cannot fault ths cleaner.
