| My local DIY store was selling these loppers off, so I bought one with a veiw to clearing a hedge area in my garden. I used it solidly for two days cutting a series of branches upto about 3 inches. This cutter made the job very simple and much easier than cutting by hand. As with any chain based cutter you need to oil and tighten the blade periodically and this is a really simple process.
The best feature is the clamps which also cover the blade, this gives a real feeling of safety because it makes it very hard to access the blade during use. Well something that lasts would be nice...like others, I have found that the plastic parts become brittle and break It started with the hose holder and issues with the lance, but the real downer is a plastic inlet pipe that split open during use. Its the part you attach the hose to and feeds into the pump that I have to say looks tough as nails encased in metal parts...not much good though if your water has escaped first!! So a good product with limited service life at a relatively high price means I feel generous giving it 3 stars *** Update ... Read More |

| This mower is total rubbish. It's cheap and shoddily made and not easy to make any height adjustments. Its motor is so gutless that it would be more suited to a ceiling fan and don't even think of cutting wet grass - it'll wilt like a daffodil at the thought. The very first time I used it, the pins holding the handle broke. Sure, the manufacturers agreed to replace them because of a 'manufacturing defect' but it took two weeks for them to arrive. By that time the grass was long enough to scythe down! I had a Black and Decker hover mower for twenty years before it died and I wish I had simply replaced it with another Black and Decker. In short, save your money or put it towards a sheep. |

| I don't normally post reviews but after my petrol mower died respectably of extreme old age I had to use a Flymo, or dragmo, which took forever and just left a scruffy mess of the lawn with grass cuttings all over the flower beds and paths. Based on the reviews here I ordered the Bosch on Sunday, it arrived today, and assembled very easily. Straight into the garden with it and I am delighted. It does cut to the edge, it cuts very neatly and is light and easy to handle. It picks up all the grass and just left me disappointed when I ran out of grass to cut! Roll on next week! |
