| I bought this as a birthday present for my husband and have had great fun watching him trying to master the art of flying!! We've both been amazed at how the helicopter has stood up to the number of crash landings and bouncing off walls and ceilings. Now he's getting the hang of flying it's been quite interesting to see how the helicopter works and responds to the controls, such as hovering for instance.
Highly recommended; in fact, it looks like his work mates are starting to drop hints to partners ready for Christmas..... |

| Technically very clever, this is an evolution of the tiny Picoo Z 2-channel machine that has taken the world by storm.
What they have added to this is a 'Forward' button that gives a surge of forwards movement to the otherwise very slowly moving helicopter. But.... This surge forward comes after a slight but unpredictable delay, and the yaw control (left/right steering) on this machine is less good than on the Picoo Z. So you might have this little machine hovering, and want to buzz it across the room, but it is twisting to the right, OK? | Right , Ive got a bit of time to write while the PicooZ charges up again so I thought I would write the sort of review I would like to read if I was contemplating buying one. If your not in for a longish read then i'll summaries it for you now in one sentence;
Yes, buy one but don't expect you'll be Mr/Mrs Airwolf from what is essentially a 2 channel toy that cost £20. With that in mind you can't go wrong. | My picoo z was still flying well with a cracked rear rotor blade but I knew one more nose-dive behind the sofa and my fun would be over. Unfortunately my
over enthusiasm after christmas day for tidying up meant the original spare went in the bin with cracker bits. Luckily these are official Silverlit rotors and a pack of three, which I was very happy about as I can play 'Apocolypse Now' to my heart's content. |

| A great idea, and it was huge fun for about 2 weeks. BUT then the tail rotor needed replacing and in the removal and refitiing procedure suddenly it didn't rotate at all. So one helicopter down... The next one lasted about a month longer. I don't think that's value for money. Toys like scaletrix and lego still work after 20 years! |

| Got this because my PicooZ had long since died, and even though I've graduate since to a 4-channel co-axial, I missed the little guy. So, got this as a replacement, as I fancied something a little different looking.
As noted by another reviewer, you get no choice in which of the three infrared channels you will receive, which could cause problems if you want to use more than one at a time (is anyone at Amazon listening? Could we have a choice of the A,B or C versions, please?). It flies great, better than my old PicooZ, but whether this is due to a better design, or simply that my original one got a bit mangled as I learnt, I have no idea: Maybe I had better buy a heli-style one as well, just for comparison purposes, of course (ahem!). ... | If your kids love Doctor Who, then you have to buy this Cyberman Helmet.
Extremley durable, robust and remarkably lightweight. It will fits kids and Adults alike with its adjustable headband setting inside the helmet. Our kids are scared to death of the Cybermen, so we have had hours of fun stalking them outside their bedroom door late at night !!!! (especially when they wont to go sleep!!!) Dont think twice about worrying if this is value for money. I would have paid double to have had the amount of laughs we have had from it so far. Definately recommended !!!! |

| I have only had this little helicopter for an hour or two and i love it, even though ive crashed it. It is easy to control but takes a little time to get used to, the trim buttons are proving too awkward, but i would highly recommend this as a gift to anyone or just for yourself. My only concern is that my cat might kill it or it might kill my cat. I had a larger r/c helicopter a couple of years ago and it was fragile and broke within the first half hour of use, whereas the picooZ apache is light and feels flimsy but is durable. An overall good buy. (im getting another one!) |

| We bought this for my son before he was born and used the whole unit until he began to try to pull the animals off. Then, we just took the stick with the mobile off and left the musical control unit in the cot. He is 1.5 years old now and loves to turn the music on in the morning (he really loves the Bach tune, in particular).
Now I am faced with the decision of which mobile to buy for the second child because I cannot take away his little music box - even though he doesn't care about the mobile anymore! It is a great buy, though. The batteries last for a very long time. I think we've only changed them twice in my son's lifetime! |
