VHS : Do I Not Like That - The Final Chapter
The most hilariously funny documentary you will ever see!
At first you will think it is a comedy voice over spoof as this cross between Alan Partridge and David Brent bumbles his way to inevitable failure shadowed by the yes men of Phil Neal and Laurie Mcmenemy, echoing his every word parrot fashion for extra comic effect. Add the chuckle brothers (Paul "Gazza" Gascoigne and Carlton "what you doing playing for England" Palmer) and what you have here is pure comedy gold. You will cry with laughter, gasping for breath unable to believe this is real!. The video will be the prize of your collection and you will make all your friends watch it and they will thank you for this is comedy gold. Ricky Gervais could not write a better script, again ... VHS : A Passion For Angling [1993]
As someone else already mentioned...this is the standard by which all fishing films will be judged.
Its totaly unlike the usual, almost instructional fishing films from the likes of Matt Hayes and John Wilson. Its a whimsical, fairy tale film about two anglers and a fantastic cameraman, editor, director who follows them around. You really feel as if you are on the bank with them and you wish you were there.
My wife, who doesnt fish, loves these films, she says it reminds her of sitting down to bread and dripping on a sunday evening...she's only 35!

My advice...BUY IT, but dont by from here (sorry Amazon) buy it direct from the Passion for Angling website as this finances Hugh Miles (the director/cameraman) future projects. ... Read More

VHS : Leeds United - The Glory Years 1965-1975 [1988]
I find myself writing this some 18 years after I bought the video on its initial release (and the tape is wearing fast - get moving, Auntie Beeb, how about a DVD?). And my view remains that this, surely, is the definitive visual account of Leeds' finest years.

A great deal is packed into its 90 minutes - and the viewer is treated to countless goals and action from the BBC's wealth of archives from those 10 magnificent years.

It is also serves as a reminder - as though one were needed - of how many times Leeds fell at the final hurdle. Eleven times, to be exact - and the video at times gives more than a hint that a few of those losses were not confined to just bad luck or being outplayed on the day.

The 1986 Formula 1 season was one of the best ever. This is a well presented video, with Clive James' wit and love of the sport evident throughout. There is good coverage of the qualifying and race sessions, with enough of the politics in between to keep everyone interested, and without becoming bogged down with too much detail.

If you want to see a season where there was actually racing and overtaking, this is the one to go for. The season goes down to the last race (in Australia), with three drivers each having a chance at the coveted Drivers Championship.

What an event this was with not a single bad match on the card. I shall review amd mark the matches out of 10.

Hardcore Title Match: Big Show vs Raven.
Good way to start off the PPV with multiple title changes thanks to the 24/7 rule. Some good weapon shots taken by all the men in the match. 7/10

Fatal 4 way Intercontinental: Y2J vs Benoit vs Eddie Guerrero vs X-Pac
Great match with lots of action, particuarly towards the end of the match. All 4 men put in a lot of effort. 8.5/10

Trish Stratus vs Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley
Better than most people might think. Both women are able to put on an entertaining match and of course the crown wanted "PUPPIES!" 7/10

2 out of 3 falls (1-on-1, Street Fight and ... Read More

VHS : WWF - The 4th Annual Survivor Series
This is a great PPV, the debut of the PHENOM and whats more you have thelegend MONSOON commentating. The only downside to this brilliant annual isthe ROOSTER
A big dinosaur egg is at the arena and about 3/4 of the way through ithatches and a stupid **** gets out and starts prancing around in a roosteroutfit, funny in the 80's not now.
Also Roddy Pipers voice does get a little irritating
But overall with the likes of hogan, warrior, herucles, perfect, demolition, hart foundation, the rockers, sgt slaughter.
You can't and never will go wrong.
Its a must for all collectors and old school wrestling fans alike.
I have survivor series 1 - 6 and without a doubt this is a topcontender.
Maybe............

VHS : Liverpool - The Treble - Season Review 2000-2001
One of Liverpool's greatest ever seasons is provided here. 63 games, 127 goals, 3 cups - what more can you say!

Highlights include the smash-and-grab FA Cup Final victory against Arsenal, the greatest ever UEFA Cup Final in which Liverpool overcame Alaves 5-4 and, in a season of trebles, the sweetest of doubles - victories home and away over Manchester United. And that's not to mention the 8-0 mauling of poor old Stoke City in the League Cup!

In answer to doubters claiming that this was an 'amateur' treble:

Be reminded that Liverpool are the only team to complete two trebles (in 1983/84, they won the League, the League Cup and the European Cup).

Be reminded that Liverpool have won more trophies than any other British team. ... Read More

VHS : WWF - King Of The Ring 1998 - Off With Their Heads
Without a doubt, this was the best WWF PPV of 1998 if not, the best ever. This was the best year for the company and you will find out why if you purchase. You have to see this event to really believe it.

All the matches were entertaining and a lot of credit has to go to Mick Foley who stole the show completely in the Hell in a Cell match. This was Foley at his best and if you have never seen this match, well lets just say he can take a bump or two. The First Blood match was great but with a dissapointing ending but it was probably a bit too predictable once you heard the stipulations of the match.

The King of the Ring tournament itself had a great final and was a major stepping stone for The Rock's career.

Honourable mention has to got to the ... Read More
