| This is a great all round printer. Which is a real bargain.
To answer some questions/concerns: This printer does have a MAC CD, so can be used with Mac's. Yes, this printer can use ink quickly, but change the settings to print only from black cartridge and this will make a big difference on colour use. It's quite noisy, but it does have a quiet mode, which makes a slight difference. Also it contains two ink cartridges and only has room for two. The others mentioned are instead of not as well as. This printer contains no card reader, so a digital camera must be connected directly. For the price it's very good. |

| I ordered the Canon MP610 on Sunday and received it from Pixmania (via Amazon) on Wednesday. No complaints there!
The machine is surprisingly heavy and does take up quite a bit of space, which is no problem to me as I keep it on a small table next to my desk. Setup is simple and the quality of print far outperforms my previous Brother machine and is the best I've seen from an inkjet printer. The weight, combined with the appearance of the case and components has convinced me that this printer will perform well for many years. To think how many £40.00 printers I've wasted money on...... |

| The C5280 is a. first class bit of kit. I am 76 and I had it up and running fine in about forty mins, just take your time. The HP on line help is fast, I got an answer in about one hour. I am not sorry that I changed from E...n

| The printer looked good, was easy to use and printed well UNTIL I updated to a laptop with vista - now every day the machine wants to install a new driver, constantly wants to do updates and has fatal update errors - its DRIVING ME MAD - it has even affected the perfomance on my non vista desktop - BUY SOMETHING ELSE |

| I've given this a low rating for the following reasons: one, the instructions are a bit of a mess. The instructions come in the form of a thick book and a separate sheet. In order to set up the printer, you have to somehow read the book and the sheet at the same time. It's unnecessarily fiddly. Why can't there be a single set of instructions? As it is, you have to keep jumping from one thing to another.
Secondly you won't be able to use this machine straight out of the box. For some reason it doesn't have a USB cable. Only when I was reading the setup instructions did I realise this, and I had to go out and buy one before I could use the printer (which I wasn't very happy about). | i bought this printer for two reasons- 1, the price and 2 the fact its epson. im not what you would call a heavy printer i only do random things like print off email confirmations, colouring in sheets for the kids ect.i found it very easy to set up when it arrived- i even put in the cartridges all by myself lol. the quality of one photo i printed wasnt amazing but still good,basicly what im trying to say is if you just want a family printer/copier/scanner then i think this is brilliant. if you want excellent quality then maybe you should save up a bit more money.but its just what i needed |

| Being a mac user myself, I was wary of the printer not working with them after reading some reviews. However, I bought it anyway and although the CD did not work with my mac, the drivers and software i downloaded from the epson support webpage made the printer work as it should. I wanted to write this incase people were put off by reports of it not working with macs... it does. (I am using 10.5 Leopard)
The printer itself is great looking, easy to set up, with super results for the price. I have no negative issues with it at all. |

| I bought this to replace an Espon one that unceremoniously dumped black ink all over a beige carpet (Vanish is the answer...). It's actually bigger than the Epson which surprised me but the printer is very good value and much faster than the old one. Quality seems excellent.
As with (all?) printers it stupidly doesn't come with a printer cable so if you don't have one, you'll need one. The fearsome cost of the cartridges, however, loses a couple of stars. Guess I just have to print less... |

| I found myself in need of a basic, no-frills (cheap) printer. I did the online searches - checked prices on what was available locally - & settled on this little beauty....
I made a point of reading the previous reviews here - generally it looked ok for the money & (despite some previous reviewers' reservations)I went for it. - It cost me less than 20 quid! - (It also cost me an extra 14 quid for the USB cable) - But every advertisement I saw for this printer screamed that I would need to buy a separate cable - If previous reviewers missed this well.... Caveat Emptor - This is NOT a failing of the machine OR HP. It seems like almost ALL printers at this price need the cable as an extra - & why not? - (even the local retailers I visited surrounded ... Read More |

| Got this printer last week for £53 with internet collect at store deal. Came with half full "introductory cartridge" which is good for 700 pages and worth about £20-25 I would guess. Have used it with no problems on Imac and Windows XP (running on bootcamp on Imac).. Basically my previous all in one inkjet cost loads in ink then just broke, and never seemed particularly reliable. I am very happy with this printer as it is cheap, prints much more quickly than my last printer (though I understand it is still quite slow for an inkjet) and occupies not too much space on my desk. Quality is fine for my admittedly fairly basic needs. |
