| I liked Breaking Dawn, but it was *totally* different from the first three books. And not in a good way.
The first three books, I simply couldn't put down. I absolutely love them, and will be reading them for many years to come. They were that amazingly well written, fast paced, fun and romantic. The stories were suspenseful and catch-your-breath interesting. Learning about the characters and their motivations was wonderful, and seeing them grow and watching the story connect through the first three books was a thrill. And then I read Breaking Dawn. | OK, so when I first heard about this book, I was skeptical. Vampires? Hmmm. For some strange reason I bought it anyway. I absolutely love this book and could not put it down. Anyone who is a sucker for a good romance story will as well. The book is extremely detailed and as you read you really get a sense of how the girl feels and, I think, it is quite realistic. I don't know much about vampire lore and all that, but it is nice to see a vampire in a good sense and this book makes me want to date one. My only complaint about the series is that the first 2/3rds of the books don't really seem to have a lot going on (all though you still find yourself not able to put it down), and in the last 3rd, the action gets squeezed in.

| The Shack is a wonderful fable of the steps involved in healing from trauma and loss in the context of the God's gracious love. It is theologically thoughtful, even profound. It also touches the heart. |

| I have decided to "break down" and purchase this work of fiction. I am "Wowed" by the # of Rush Limbaugh and (Billo), Bill O'Reilly fans who are shopping on line and reviewing this work of fiction. Granted, I have not read the book yet, but when I read a review that makes mention of its being "well researched, documented, footnotes.....", I would ask that you look at his footnotes and count how many of them reference himself, i.e. written or spoken words of the author himself. I will read this book and follow up with a written review. And I promise to keep an open mind. |

| Like most recent buyers, I bought the graphic novel after seeing the trailer for the movie. I thought the trailer looked good, but I was not prepared for how amazing the novel is. Never have I seen superheroes be so likable and so unlikeable at the same time which is a testament to Moore's writing. So much of Watchmen is still applicable to today's society, despite it being set in 1985. This novel really has everything - humor, romance, intricate plots, a strong message, and definitely action. If you like graphic novels, there's a great chance you'll love Watchmen. If you don't like graphic novels, there's a good chance you'll love Watchmen, too. |
